Argen­tin­ská cho­re­o­gra­f­ka Caro­li­na Aran­dia při­ná­ší na scé­nu Stu­dia Hrdi­nů moř­skou hla­di­nu: pre­mi­é­ra taneč­ní­ho před­sta­ve­ní sea­naut (26. — 27. 5. 2026)

Inter­dis­ci­pli­nár­ní uměl­ky­ně Caro­li­na Aran­dia se v novém pro­jek­tu spo­ji­la s čes­kou taneč­ni­cí a per­for­mer­kou Sabi­nou Palán Boč­ko­vou a fin­ským hudeb­ní­kem Valt­te­ri Ala­ne­nem. Spo­leč­ně se zasta­vu­jí na hra­ně mezi pev­ni­nou a mořem a zkou­ma­jí mož­nos­ti zklid­ně­ní, odol­nos­ti a zno­vuna­le­ze­ní rov­no­váhy — zvu­kem, pohy­bem, obra­zem. Taneč­ní per­for­man­ce sea­naut je inter­dis­ci­pli­nár­ním pro­jek­tem, kte­rý v rám­ci tvůr­čí­ho pro­ce­su pro­po­ju­je umě­ní s vědec­kým výzku­mem z oblas­ti oce­á­no­gra­fie a moř­ské bio­lo­gie. Vzni­ká v rám­ci mezi­ná­rod­ní­ho pro­jek­tu Natu­re of Us a v kopro­dukč­ním part­ner­ství s BAZAAR fes­ti­va­lem a rezi­denč­ním cen­t­rem Švest­ko­vý dvůr.

sea­naut vychá­zí z osob­ní zku­še­nos­ti s vodou jako mís­tem trans­for­ma­ce. Potá­pě­ní zde není jen fyzic­kým aktem, ale meta­fo­rou zno­vuzro­ze­ní – způ­so­bem, jak se „zno­vu vyno­řit“, jak říká špa­něl­ský výraz salir a flo­te. Zota­vit se z kri­ze a jít dál navzdo­ry nepří­z­ni osu­du. Voda v insce­na­ci pro­bou­zí vita­li­tu a divo­kost, vede až na samot­nou hra­ni­ci, na okraj úte­su, odkud se lze zno­vu odra­zit. Palán Boč­ko­vá se pod tak­tov­kou Aran­dii na mini­ma­lis­tic­ké scé­ně noří do moř­ské vody, absor­bu­jí­cí emo­ce a pro­mě­ňu­jí­cí tělo.

Argen­tin­ská cho­re­o­gra­f­ka Caro­li­na Aran­dia při­ná­ší ve svém díle čes­ké­mu pub­li­ku nao­ko vzdá­le­né, ale o to při­taž­li­věj­ší téma — moře, jeho divo­kost a před­sta­vy dalekých hlu­bin. Jak se lid­ské tělo v pev­nin­ské zemi může k moř­ské hla­di­ně vztáh­nout? Tělo taneč­ni­ce tuto zdán­li­vou vzdá­le­nost pře­ko­ná­vá a v pro­měn­li­vých obra­zech — v pro­sto­ru mezi medi­ta­tiv­ním i výbuš­ným pohy­bem — nám před­sta­vu­je pod­ma­ni­vou meta­fo­ru moře jako pro­sto­ru pro pono­ře­ní a návrat v očiš­tě­né, trans­po­no­va­né podobě.

Jak o tom­to vzta­hu uva­žu­je samot­ná cho­re­o­gra­f­ka Caro­li­na Aran­dia? “sea­naut navr­hu­je únik z běž­né­ho živo­ta pro­střed­nic­tvím kon­tak­tu s oce­á­nem, aby se ote­vře­ly pro­sto­ry pro před­sta­vi­vost, pro pro­ži­tí hlu­bin a pro to, aby nás obja­la jeho neko­neč­ná roz­lo­ha. Věřím, že oce­án posky­tu­je pro­stor, v němž lze pro­žít celou šká­lu emo­cí, od jeho drs­nos­ti a krá­sy po jeho bar­vy, vůně a sla­nost, stej­ně jako jeho klid. Vní­mám to (…) jako soma­tic­ký záži­tek roz­ši­řo­vá­ní smys­lů a návra­tu k půvo­du. Moře, jako nedíl­ná sou­část bio­sfé­ry, ztě­les­ňu­je naše počát­ky. Pre­mi­é­ra pro­jek­tu sea­naut se usku­teč­ní 26. 5. 2026 od 20:00 v Stu­diu Hrdi­nů. Prv­ní reprí­za bude 27. 5. 2026 od 18:00 (uvá­dě­no v rám­ci linie Parent Fri­en­dly).

Argen­ti­ne cho­re­o­gra­pher Caro­li­na Aran­dia brings the body of the sea on the stage of Stu­dio hrdi­nů: pre­mie­re of the per­for­man­ce sea­naut (26. — 27.5.2026)

Inter­dis­ci­pli­na­ry artist Caro­li­na Aran­dia has tea­med up with Czech dan­cer and per­for­mer Sabi­na Palán Boč­ko­vá and Fin­nish musi­ci­an Valt­te­ri Ala­nen in a new pro­ject. Toge­ther, they stop at the edge between land and sea and explo­re the possi­bi­li­ties of cal­ming, resi­li­en­ce and redis­co­ve­ring balan­ce — throu­gh sound, move­ment, image — throu­gh the sea. Dan­ce per­for­man­ce sea­naut is an inter­dis­ci­pli­na­ry pro­ject that con­nects art with scien­ti­fic research from the fields of oce­a­no­gra­phy and mari­ne bio­lo­gy within the cre­a­ti­ve pro­cess. The per­for­man­ce is a part of the inter­nati­o­nal pro­ject Natu­re of Us, and was cre­a­ted in a co-pro­ducti­on part­ner­ship with the BAZAAR fes­ti­val and Plum yard resi­den­tial center.

sea­naut is based on per­so­nal expe­ri­en­ce with water as a pla­ce of trans­for­mati­on. Diving here is not just a phy­s­i­cal act, but a meta­phor for rebirth – a way to “resur­fa­ce”, as the Spa­nish expres­si­on salir a flo­te says. To reco­ver from a cri­sis and move on despi­te adver­si­ty. Water in the pro­ducti­on awa­kens vita­li­ty and wildness, lea­ding to the very limit, to the edge of the cli­ff, from whe­re one can rebound aga­in. Under the baton of Aran­dia, Palán Boč­ko­vá dives into sea­wa­ter on a mini­ma­list stage, absor­bing emo­ti­ons and trans­for­ming the body.

In her work, the Argen­ti­ne cho­re­o­gra­pher Caro­li­na Aran­dia brings to the Czech audi­en­ce a see­min­g­ly distant, but all the more attracti­ve the­me — the sea, its wildness and images of distant depths. How can the human body in a lan­dlocked coun­t­ry rela­te to the sea sur­fa­ce? The dan­cer’s body in the per­for­man­ce over­co­mes this appa­rent distan­ce and in chan­ging images — in the spa­ce between medi­ta­ti­ve and explo­si­ve move­ment — pre­sents us with a cap­ti­va­ting meta­phor of the sea as a spa­ce for immer­si­on and return in a puri­fied, trans­po­sed form.

How does cho­re­o­gra­pher Caro­li­na Aran­dia her­self think about this relati­on­ship? “sea­naut pro­po­ses an esca­pe from eve­ry­day life throu­gh con­tact with the oce­an, in order to open spa­ces for ima­gi­nati­on, for expe­ri­en­cing the depths and for us to be embra­ced by its infi­ni­te expan­se. I belie­ve that the oce­an pro­vi­des a spa­ce in which to expe­ri­en­ce the full ran­ge of emo­ti­ons, from its rou­gh­ness and beau­ty to its colors, scents and sal­ti­ness, as well as its tra­nqui­li­ty. I per­ce­i­ve it (…) as a soma­tic expe­ri­en­ce of expan­ding the sen­ses and retur­ning to the ori­gin. The sea, as an inte­gral part of the biosphe­re, embo­dies our ori­gins. The pre­mie­re of the sea­naut pro­ject will take pla­ce on May 26, 2026 at 8 PM in the Stu­dio hrdi­nů in Pra­gue. The first rerun will then be shown on May 27, 2026 at 6 PM (pre­sen­ted as part of the Parent Fri­en­dly line).
